Ty Erickson

VCEDC Board Secretary & President-North Market, Marshfield Clinic Health System

Ty Erickson is President of the North Market, Marshfield Clinic Health System. In this capacity he oversees two hospitals (Marshfield Medical Center – Minocqua and Marshfield Medical Center – Park Falls) and seven clinics located across four counties in Northeast Wisconsin. He has served in various executive health care leadership positions for over twenty-five years. Ty’s family consists of his wife Karin, son Motts (16), daughter Minna (12) and dog Lulu. He has been in his current position since November 2020.

Prior to the Marshfield Clinic Health System, Ty was Senior Vice President of the East Region for Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota. As member the senior leadership team, he oversaw five hospitals, twenty-four clinics, three nursing homes and a durable medical equipment company.

Previously, Ty served as Chief Executive Officer at Regina Medical, Hastings, Minnesota; Chief Executive Officer of the Columbia Gorge Service Area, Providence Health & Services in Hood River, Oregon; Chief Executive Officer at Rainy Lake Medical Center, International Falls, Minnesota; Assistant Administrator at Sacred Heart Hospital, Hospital Sisters Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Consultant at Ernst & Young, Chicago, Illinois; Senior Financial Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield, St. Louis, Missouri and Administrative Coordinator at the Catholic Health Association, St. Louis, Missouri.

Ty has a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He also has a Master’s Degree in Health Administration (MHA) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. Ty grew up in Rhinelander, Wisconsin graduating from Rhinelander High School.

Ty is actively involved in the Wisconsin Hospital Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, as well as, involvement in Northern Wisconsin communities through the Northwoods YMCA Board of Directors, Vilas County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors and the Oneida County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.
