Comments from business owners like Dan Beihoff above exemplify the mission of the Vilas County Economic Development Corporation (VCEDC) to build a strong, resilient Northwoods economy.

What does that mean to you? It means providing expert business guidance to hundreds of businesses that you enjoy and find essential in Vilas County – restaurants and pubs, gift shops, heating & cooling contractors, salons, pet shops, garden centers, resorts, and many more. VCEDC support helps ensure that Vilas County provides a welcoming, supportive environment for businesses, and that they thrive in Vilas County. This leads to a growing tax base and improved quality of life for all of us.

Your financial contribution enables us to continue to provide leadership on broadband expansion, and essential guidance and programming to businesses including an array of financial services, business planning, educational programming including AI and e-commerce, all at no charge. We invest in the future in other ways as well such as hosting national entrepreneurs such as Craig Culver, Co-Founder & former CEO of Culvers, to speak to nearly 600 students at Northland Pines High School – all to help educate and inspire future generations to perhaps someday, become business owners in Vilas County themselves.
